Look at that, Wisconsin cut taxes and spending and now they are improving economically and getting more tax revenue. Another one the austerity promoters got wrong, I suppose.

If the economy is improving, then, by definition, it’s not austerity! :-)

I’ve always wondered why the Keynesian presumption is that the multiplier effect is larger for government spending than for private spending. After all, if the latter were larger tax cuts would be obviously better than increased public spending, if you’re willing to create a budget deficit.

Because, AOG, because “private spending” isn’t, the proles hoard the cash, stopping the “circular flow” that is the lifeblood of the economy! Very, very silly, but that is the thinking. See, of course, this video.
