It's OK, they're the Other America

White House spokesman says the assassination of one of our ambassadors is an issue only because the opposition party “politicized” it. She also “dared to suggest that Romney criticized Obama on the Libya attacks before he had enough information” even though Romney’s statement was about Egypt.

Which leads to the emergin “liar” meme in which, as is so very common, the MAL projects its own failings on others, while at the same time looting all the value out of a word for momentary gain1.

Then there the little slices of life like a bus driver told a 12 year-old student that he should have been aborted because his family had a Romney-Ryan sign in their yard. Or the girl sent home because she was wearing a Romney T-shirt and the public school is a Democratic Party school.

Angered by a teenagers claims of being humiliated by a teacher over a Romney/Ryan T-shirt, students at Charles Carroll High School ignored warnings from administrators and shouted obscenities out school windows at the girls parents Friday morning.

Samantha Pawlucy had accused her geometry teacher of humiliating her for wearing the shirt, and stayed out of school after saying she learned students had made threats against her.

The resolution was to retain the teacher, not punish the abusive students, and have Pawlucy possibly move to another school. A teachable moment in which a lesson was learned I would say. Just like a public school letting one party register voters but not another along with a bit of election fraud of the party workers claiming to be neutral officials.

There is the adult version where people are publicly abused for supporting a major political party or put on leave for signing a petition. Or just having your car keyed because you don’t have the right political ideology.

1 I had someone just the other day openly admit they used the term “racist” to mean “stupid Republicans”. To him these were synonymous.
