Without a doubt, it's a "green" movement

German economist and IPCC official Ottmar Edenhofer says —

Basically it’s a big mistake to discuss climate policy separately from the major themes of globalization. The climate summit in Cancun at the end of the month is not a climate conference, but one of the largest economic conferences since the Second World War. Why? Because we have 11,000 gigatons of carbon in the coal reserves in the soil under our feet - and we must emit only 400 gigatons in the atmosphere if we want to keep the 2-degree target. 11 000 to 400 - there is no getting around the fact that most of the fossil reserves must remain in the soil.

[…]

First of all, developed countries have basically expropriated the atmosphere of the world community. But one must say clearly that we redistribute de facto the world’s wealth by climate policy. Obviously, the owners of coal and oil will not be enthusiastic about this. One has to free oneself from the illusion that international climate policy is environmental policy. This has almost nothing to do with environmental policy anymore, with problems such as deforestation or the ozone hole.

Gosh, who could have expected this? That by “green” they meant control of the economic environment, and the biological one would be dropped as irrelevant?

It's not free speech if I don't like it

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) said he would look to block a merger between NBC and Comcast, citing the decision last week by MSNBC to suspend liberal anchor Keith Olbermann.

Sanders said Comcast’s attempt to acquire NBC from General Electric would result in “another media giant run by a Republican supporter of George W. Bush.”

And obviously the federal government should be putting a stop to such things. A Republican owning a media giant! How can our government allow such things to happen? Isn’t that why we have so much regulation?

I can’t help also note that it was, of course, a hard core MAList media organization that put Olberman on the beach, something else for which obviously the GOP is to blame.

Senator Rockefeller is on the same page — but remember, we must oppose the Tea Parties who are going to censor us.

Do not worry, everything is under control.

And a Democratic Party member of the House of Representatives calls on Rupert Murdoch to slant Fox News for the benefit of her political beliefs.

Another in the adults vs. teenage file

After reading confirmation that the US Secretary of the Treasure privately briefed a TV comedy host on the economy, I will flat out laugh at any claims that it’s the Tea Party who are the joke in economic matters.

Setting an example

I wanted to note Representative Michele Bachman’s withdrawal from contention for the GOP House Conference chairmanship. The Narrative says that it’s the Tea Partiers who are the disruptors, who have no strategic sense or self awareness, who are only pissed off bomb throwers. Yet here is Bachman, making a reasonable play for the position but when it doesn’t work out, graciously backs off and endorses her opponent. Meanwhile we have a had a series of establishment figures in the GOP firing off as loose cannons when they don’t get their way. Yet I am sure The Narrative and its party line speakers will go one, oblivious to reality.

P.S. This is another demonstration of who really has brand loyalty in contrast to pure opportunism.

Government always strikes hardest at who it views as the real enemy

The best policy question concerning the current TSA full body searching is — is it OK to engage in the same level of search on anybody captured in Iraq and Afghanistan?

Fire on the Farm

That’s my Void Hawk on a G75 “sparky” motor. I had six new rockets and managed to fly 5 of them, losing only one of them to a flight mishap (another sustained minor but repairable damage). This is out on SWIPIAW farmland.

What is too much?

When riding a bike with an American flag causes racial tensions to the extent that the school wants to ban it, can we now just slight hint at the possibility that there’s a failure in how our nation is handling immigration?

And the news just keeps getting better

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi will run for house minority leader.

Some say that it’s not possible for the Democratic Party caucus in the House to be that stupid but I think they are. Let’s note that what’s left is the hard core. The moderates were basically wiped out. Not to mention that those losses had anything whatsoever to do with Pelosi’s policies, it was all just Fox News and those evil Tea Partiers and their corporate funded propaganda operations. So why not Pelosi? In all seriousness, she is indeed the face of the Modern American Left.

Old Media Credibility Watch

I can’t let the KTVA search for child molestors go unremarked. What is interesting to me isn’t that putatively “objective” “journalists” do this kind of thing, but that despite them doing this we are told how essential they are to keeping the public informed. I can only deduce that by “informed” it is meant a successful implantation of The Narrative, not actual relevant information.

No turning

Will President Barak Obama moderate his policies in the wake of the Tea-nami as many pundits advise or expect?

No. Obama is no where near clever or pragmatic enough to change anything. Just as significantly, Obama is a “hot house flower”, raised and trained in a very specific and controlled environment and simply cannot grasp that things may be different elsewhere. Even for a MAList he’s cloistered and naive about the real world.

Setting the table for disappointment

Apparently there’s some buzz about some sort of political scandal from the Democratic Primary in South Carolina back in 2008. Personally, I can’t imagine what it could be, or even what those promoting the issue think it could be. After all, the Democratic Party already basically endorses voter fraud, along with their political allies, not to mention voter intimidation so what in the world do these people think could be uncovered that would further disgrace that party? That they falsely accused then Senator Hillary Clinton of racism? It’s what they’ve been doing for a year against all the Tea Parties.

I suspect they’ll find something, it will be a 2 day wonder, and then forgotten within a couple months.

P.S. Remember, even though the Department of Justice had explicitly rejected race neutral law enforcement it’s those Tea Partiers you have to watch. Not to mention how the Tea Partiers are all in the pay of foreign interests despite the Democratic Party taking in twice as much foreign money this election cycle, not to mention spent more money while the Tea Party candidates had an unprecedented amount of small donor contributors.
