Let me state for the record that I haven’t read any of the Harry Potter books, and can’t recall if I have seen any of the movies in their entirety (I saw the first part of the most recent movie in a theatre while on vacation, but Girl Three had a waste containment failure which required me to walk out in the middle).

Oh yeah? You want loser, I’ll give you loser. I’m well into middle age and I never saw the Johnny Carson show.

Wanna step outside?

Look, boy, you don’t want to go up against me in “ignorance of popular culture”. I got all sorts of ignorance, it practically oozes out of my skin. You’re calling out a man who’s never seen “Little Rascals” and didn’t watch a single minute of the OJ Simpson trial.

Little Rascals? Boy, you do play in the minor leagues, don’t you. OK, I’ve never seen Saturday Night Live and I don’t make up lame excuses about “waste containment failures” to explain it.

Your serve.

I haven’t seen any of Episode 1,2, or 3 for Star Wars. Feel the burn!

Andrea Harris Monday, 23 July 2007 at 20:59

I’ve never seen more than a few scenes of any of the Godfather movies. I’ve never seen Casablanca straight through — again, I’ve just seen the famous scenes they show over and over on other shows and movies. (Like that Woody Allen movie whose name escapes me at the moment, where he had an imaginary Humphrey Bogart companion to complain about his love life to.)

There’s more, probably. Or in my case, less.

I didn’t know it’s possible to survive without reading Harry Potter! Live and learn.

AOG:

I too missed all of Star Wars. Match nul?

We’re just grass to Ms. Harris’ elephant.
